‘Wall Street Journal’ to continue its partnership with Apple News

<p class="">Robert Thomson, CEO of the Wall Street Journal’s parent company, says the WSFJ will continue its partnership with Apple News during the company's latest earnings call, the <em>New York Post</em> <a href="https://nypost.com/2020/08/12/wall-street-journal-will-stick-by-apple-news-news-corp-ceo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reports</a>. It helps introduce new readers to the publication (one of Apple’s original partners for the news streaming service), he notes.</p>

Filmmaker Martin Scorsese inks first-look deal with Apple

<p class="">Apple has inked a first-look deal with its director, Martin Scorsese, according to <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/08/martin-scorsese-apple-first-look-deal-sikelia-productions-killers-of-the-flower-moon-1203010010/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Deadline</a>. The acclaimed filmmaker (<em>Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, The Irishman, Casino</em>, and more) will base his Sikelia Productions banner at the tech giant in a multi-year deal for film and television projects Scorsese will produce and direct for Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming service.</p>
