<p>Fleetsmith has raised $3.1 million in seed round funding led by Index Ventures and Harrison Metal. Individual investors participating in the round include: Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of Dropbox, Kevin Mahaffey, founder and CTO of Lookout, Scott Cannon, co-founder of Mailbox, and Zane Lackey, co-founder and CSO of Signal Sciences.</p>

<p>Glide, a company known for its messaging software, is building the <a href="http://getcmra.com/">CMRA</a>, an Apple Watch smartwatch strap that adds both a two-megapixel selfie cam and an eight-megapixel shooter for capturing what is in front of the watch wearer. It’s available for pre-order for $149; eventually, the pride will be $249. </p>

<p>Dr. Ricky Bloomfield, a doctor on the forefront of implementing both Apple HealthKit and Apple ResearchKit in his position as director of Mobile Strategy at Duke University, will leave Duke to take a position on Apple's health team. <p>Apple has been granted another patent involved augmented reality (AR) headwear. Patent number 9,482,869 is for a “head-mounted display apparatus” for retaining a portable electronic device with display.”</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.law360.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law 360</a> reports that a Delaware federal judge has ruled that Apple, Samsung, and other smartphone makers can’t escape patent infringement claims from Evolved Wireless LLC because they couldn’t at the current stage proves the LTE wireless communication patents were ineligible under the two-part test of the U.S. Supreme Court Alice decision.</p>
