<p>In a <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/o9uyeq9" rel="noopener noreferrer">Seeking Alpha article</a>, analyst Mark Hibben ponders whether Apple might unveil VR goggles at its <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nw8ftcq" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sept. 9 media event</a>. I'm 99.9% sure that's not going to happen. If/when that day comes I have some suggestions for Tim Cook & Company.</p>

<p><em>MacRumors.com</em>, basing its conclusion on "a few whispers and some research," says it "thinks" that Apple has bought a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.faceshift.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">company called Faceshift</a>.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px">"TV Everywhere" — the term for customers having access to content through Internet-connected devices such as iPads, iPhones, Macs, and Apple TVs — was up 63% in the last year, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nt7o9ot" rel="noopener noreferrer">an Adobe study</a> of 159 billion online video starts. The study shows that Apple already dominates the business — and could dominate even more if/when the company introduces a TV streaming service.</p>

<p>If you're totally into buying your music online, and you're of a certain age (like, ahem, me), you may miss all the great info once found in CD booklets and album covers. If you're too young to know what I'm talking about, take my word: you're missing some good stuff. But while I and my debtors are extremely grateful, you fans are going to have to really up contributions if you want Steve, Dave and Yours Truly — the <em>AWT</em> crew — to drive Apple Cars when they hit the road. After all, one Apple prognosticator thinks the vehicle will cost more than US$50,000.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/oaeu4eh" rel="noopener noreferrer">KGI analyst Kuo Ming-Chi says </a>Apple won't use sapphire crystal for the lens and display of the upcoming iPhone 6s, though earlier media reports said Apple would use sapphire for the smartphone that's expected to be unveiled at the <a href="http://tinyurl.com/nw8ftcq">Sept. 9 media event</a>.</p>

<p>Future iPhones and iPads could be powered by external hydrogen fuel cells. Apple has been granted a patent (number 20150249280) by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for a "fuel cell system to power a portable computing device."</p>

<p>Intel has officially introduced the sixth generation Intel Core processor family, often referred to as Skylake. The processors will certainly appear in new iMacs, MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs and 12-inch MacBooks. The question is "when?"</p>

<p>Both of my kids are addicted to social media and, by proxy, the devices made of aluminum and glass that provide access to them.</p>

<p>Earlier this week <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nzhtsak" rel="noopener noreferrer">I commented on the rumors</a> that Apple might product original video content. Here's another reason why our favorite tech company might want to do just that: the online digital video market is growing rapidly. As the accompanying chart, based on data from <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/neo2tz3" rel="noopener noreferrer">Statista’s Digital Market Outlook</a>, illustrates, the growth potential in online video is much bigger than it is in digital music. </p>

<p>Apple is exploring the possibility of getting into the original programming business, claims <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/onwe4yf" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Variety</em></a>.  It's certainly  an idea that’s worth mulling over.</p>

<p>Apple continues to beef up its enterprise presence. The Cupertino, California-based company and Cisco are teaming up to create a "fast lane" for iOS business users by optimizing Cisco networks for iOS devices and apps, integrating the iPhone with Cisco enterprise environments and providing collaboration on iPhones and iPads. iOS devices will communication using Cisco's networking hardware, which is ubiquitous at several enterprises and institutions.</p>

<p>The smart money says a next generation Apple TV will be announced at Apple's <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nw8ftcq" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sept. 9 media event</a>. In a <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/op62rl8" rel="noopener noreferrer">Seeking Alpha article</a>, Alcaraz Research says it could rival the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.</p>

<p>Flixel Photos's Cinemagraph Pro for Mac OS X 10.9 and higher is a fun, "living photo" creation software that lets you create Cinemagraph images. However, you'll have to do some preparation before you begin using the software.</p>

<p>Apple has approached Siliconware Precision Industries Co Ltd (SPIL) about becoming a supplier of system-in-package (SiP) technology for the Apple Watch and for fingerprint recognition chips, an online media source based in Taiwan, according to <em>United Daily News</em>, an online media source base din Taiwan.</p>
