<p>Apple may have to pay “millions” of pounds in extra taxes in the UK after losing a legal battle over whether its smartwatch straps are an accessory that should be taxed individually or part of the smartwatch, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2017/03/06/apple-loses-battle-avoid-uk-import-taxes-watch-straps/" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Telegraph.</a></p>

<p>Apple will start taking scholarship applications for the 2017 World Wide Developer's Conference (WWDC) on March 27. </p>

<p>Toshiba is spinning-off its core memory chip business and seeking outside investors in it. Potential suitors purportedly include Apple, Foxconn, TSMC, Microsoft, Western Digital, Micron, and SK Hynix.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="https://themarkhor.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Markhor</a>, a men’s shoe and accessory brand focused on old form craftsmanship, is currently running a Kickstarter compaign for a line of sleeves and desk pads for MacBooks and iMacs.</p>

<p>Samsung and Interflex are beefing up production of flexible printed circuit board, or FPCB, for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8, the first iPhone that will adopt an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.theinvestor.co.kr/view.php?ud=20170306000769" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Korea Herald</a>. </p>

<p>My buddy, J. Scott Anderson, picked up an Apple TV expecting that he might be able to use AirPlay with the iPad via Bluetooth. Scott was surprised to discover that AirPlay on the Apple TV only works through WiFi. </p>
