I’m often sipping a cup of coffee while I work on <em>Apple World Today </em>articles. I’ve yet to spill it on my Mac laptop, but, since I’m a klutz, it’s always possible.</p>

Here’s a possible reason for the removal of the iCloud Activation Lock tool

<p>Yesterday <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/01/28/apple-removes-icloud-activation-lock-status-tool-from-website" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a> reported that Apple has taken down the iCloud Activation Lock status page on its website. The tool offered a way of determining whether a used iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Apple Watch was stolen. There was no explanation from Apple for the move. However, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.macrumors.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors</a> has apparently found one.</p>

Britain’s Ministry of Defense may begin using secured iPhone 7s

PTAB says Apple proved Core Wireless patent claims to be invalid

<p>The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has found in an America Invents Act “between the parties" review that Apple proved a number of claims of a Core Wireless text messaging patent to be “invalid as obvious over prior art,” reports the legal website, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.law360.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law360</a>.</p>
