<p>Apple has been reassigned a patent from Topsy Labs, a company Apple bought in 2013 for more than US$200 million. The patent (number 9,135,294) is for "systems and methods using reputation for influence scores in search queries."</p>

<p>Burberry has announced a new streaming channel for Apple Music, marking the companies' first official product collaboration since Apple hired former CEO Angela Ahrendts to head its retail arm, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nwkxvjk" rel="noopener noreferrer">The New York Times</a>.</p>

<p>This will never happen, but I'm going to toss out the idea anyway: Apple should open small retail stores — Apple mini stores, if you will — in towns that are too small for the traditional, bigger Apple retail stores and Mac Specialists.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px"><a target="_blank" href="http://www.sonnettech.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sonnet's Fusion PCIe Flash Drive</a> is a tough, pocket-size solid-state drive (SSD) storage device targeted as an "ultra-fast alternative" to portable SATA-based hard disk drives and SSD storage products. That's true; however, it comes at a steep price: US$499 for a 256GB version and $799 for a 512GB model.</p>

<p>Forget the Apple Car. I want an Apple Jetpack. According to <a target="_blank" href="http://cnet.co/1iZYu6R" rel="noopener noreferrer">CNET</a>, Google X, the search giant's secret lab, once considered making a jetpack, but abandoned it due to a lack of practicality such as a too much noise and too little power.</p>

<p>Terence Fung, chief strategy officer at the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.storm8.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Storm8 mobile gaming network</a>, is predicting big things for iOS 9 and <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/pt44vmu" rel="noopener noreferrer">the new Apple TV</a>.</p>

<p>If you're like me and are still holding on to your first generation iPad then the <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/nvjze7y" rel="noopener noreferrer">NuStand 360 by NewerTech</a> is for you. Though I was a skeptic at first, it only took a few minutes after taking the NuStand 360 out of the box to realize the benefits this stand can offer. </p>

<p>Several folks are poking fun at the Apple Pencil, an US$99 stylus Apple has made for the <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/pjldcg7" rel="noopener noreferrer">upcoming iPad Pro</a>. Is our favorite tech company onto something or will the Pencil disappear in quiet ignominy like Ping, the ill-fated, software-based, music-oriented social networking and recommender system?</p>

<p>Apple has filed for a patent (number 20150116560) for a "small form factor telephoto camera," which hints at even better camera functions in future iPhones and iPads.</p>

<p>RESCUECOM has released its <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/p2y6qf6" rel="noopener noreferrer">2015 Q2 Computer Reliability Report</a>. As usual, Samsung and Apple top the list. </p>

<p>There's some complaints that the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus aren't innovative. Not true. Just because they look pretty much the same as the iPhone 6 and 6s doesn't mean there aren't plenty of impressive under-the-hood improvements. </p>

<p>In a move that will certainly intensify the (debatable) theory that iOS devices will eventually replace Macs altogether, Apple's new iPad Pro shows the company is head to head with the full, notebook personal computer market with its latest offering, the iPad Pro.</p>

<p>The new Apple TV <a target="_blank" href="http://tinyurl.com/pt44vmu" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced yesterday</a> has lots of intriguing improvements, but it lacks 4K or Ultra HD support. I think that's a mistake. </p>
