<p>This week Apple unveiled the <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/9/12/apple-introduces-the-apple-tv-4k-with-hdr" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple TV 4K</a>. The product will be priced at $179 and $199 for 32GB and 64GB versions. Will it be a game changer? One research group says "no," though it will be successful.</p>

<p>Belkin has unveiled its new wireless charging pad for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. The Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad is fine-tuned with Qi technology under the hood, and is also able to charge at levels up to 7.5W for compatible devices, says Steve Malony, general manager and vice president, Belkin. </p>

<p>Mellel has released Mellel 4.0, an upgrade of its word processor for the Mac. The new version includes over 200 new and improved features, is built from the ground up and designed “to save writers both time and frustration associated with traditional word processors.”</p>

<p>Apple has updated iTunes for macOS to version 12.7, removing the App Store items for purchasing iOS apps. It can be downloaded at the Mac App Store for free.</p>

<p>QuickerTek has announced 3<a target="_blank" href="http://quickertek.com/product/type-c-solar-panel/" rel="noopener noreferrer">0 Watt and 60 Watt USB Type-C Solar Juicz Chargers</a>. These solar panels feature the USB 3.1 adapter cable necessary to power and charge the 2015-2017 MacBook and MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch laptops.</p>

<p>Apple wants hearing aids to seamlessly connect to various devices from the company, as noted by a newly granted patent (number 9,763,276). Hearing aid settings have to be adjusted in real time as the user experiences different audio environments. </p>

<p>On a regular basis, <em>Apple World Today</em> posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are today's picks.</p>

<p>Apple has announced the iPhone X, which is modestly describes as “the future of the smartphone.” It comes in an all-glass design with a 5.8-inch “Super Retina” display, A11 Bionic chip, wireless charging and an improved rear camera with dual optical image stabilization. </p>

<p>Apple has debuted the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The new iPhone features a new glass and aluminum design in three colors made out of what Apple claims is the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, Retina HD displays and A11 Bionic chip, and is designed for the ultimate augmented reality experience. </p>

<p>Apple has introduced Apple Watch Series 3, adding built-in cellular. It allows users to stay connected, make calls, receive texts and more, even without an iPhone nearby. </p>

<p>At today’s special media event, Apple introduced the iPhone X (yep, that’s the name, not the iPhone Pro or iPhone Edition). CEO Tim Cook said it would set the pattern of smartphone technology for the next decade.</p>

<p>As expected, at today’s Apple media event, CEO Tim Cook and Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, introduced the new Apple TV. Or, more precisely, the Apple TV 4K, which has support for 4K and HDR.</p>

<p>In celebration of the iPhone’s 10-year anniversary, WaterField has introduced a custom iPhone Camera Bag in elegant leather or black ballistic nylon designed to hold detachable lenses, mini tripod, and other photo accessories for the new iPhones expected to debut today. </p>

<p>Apple has filed for a patent (number 9,761,927) for a “battery case with supplemental antenna features” for the iPhone. It involves a removable case for use with the smartphone.</p>

<p>A survey of three dozen Asian companies that supply Apple shows shipments are already way up. "Initial launch volumes are up 10-15% year over year," <a target="_blank" href="http://www.longbowresearch.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Longbow Research</a> says in a note to clients.</p>
