Morgan, a financial services firm, says Apple will likely announce the “iPhone 8” at the 28th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, June 5-9.</p>

Apple’s cash reserve stands at $256 billion

<p>Apple's cash reserve reaches over $256 billion, making it larger then the market capitalization of General Electric, according to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.efsecurities.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Excon Fuji Securities</a>, a private international investment brokerage. In the previous fiscal quarter, the company was at $233 billion.</p>

ParkerVision extends its lawsuit against Apple

<p>Another day, another lawsuit. Well, at least an extension of an existing lawsuit. As noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/05/02/parkervision-extends-rf-tech-patent-lawsuit-against-apple-to-iphone-7-in-us-germany" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a>, a company called ParkerVision, who has sued Apple for patent infringement, is extending the lawsuit.</p>

Analysts: Apple eyeing ‘major acquisition’ of a media company (or perhaps a cloud company)

<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/05/02/apple-analyst-barclays-acquisition-media-services-growth/" rel="noopener noreferrer">9to5Mac</a> — Barclays analysts Mark Moskowitz and Daniel Gaide opine that Apple is eyeing a major acquisition of a media company. They say such move could allow Apple to achieve its services growth goals that could otherwise slow alongside iPhone sales.</p>
