<p>The latest smartphone OS data from <a target="_blank" href="http://www.kantarworldpanel.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kantar Worldpanel ComTech</a> reveals that for the three months ending in August 2017, iOS posted growth in the U.S., China, Germany, France, and Spain, but performance in Great Britain dropped. </p>

<p>According to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chinalaborwatch.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer">China Labor Watch</a>, a labor rights watchdog and advocacy organization, hundreds of workers went on strike on October 11, in protest of Jabil's layoff, position rearrangements and its refusal to provide previously promised rewards. After analyzing over 110,000 tweets mentioning “iPhone” or “Android,” the customer service site found that Apple’s smartphone was tweeted about 1.3 times more and received a 1:1 ratio of positive and negative tweets.</p>

<p>Apple has been granted a patent (number 20170294108) for a “self adapting alert device” that would allow an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch to autonomously adapt one or more user alerts to the current operating environment of the gadget.</p>
