Carpool Karaoke: The Series arrives on Apple Music Aug. 8

<p>Apple says <a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSvOwwDexts" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Carpool Karaoke: The Series</em></a> will be available to Apple Music subscribers starting Tuesday, Aug. 8. It will welcome a different group of stars every Tuesday, with new episodes available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers in more than 100 countries. </p>

Analyst: nope, you won’t have to wait for an ‘iPhone 8’ (well, not too long)

<p>Despite some predictions that the next generation of iPhone will ship later than the usual September time frame, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty says in a note to clients -- as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://www.barrons.com/articles/you-wont-have-to-wait-for-that-iphone-8-1496168586" rel="noopener noreferrer">Barron’s</a> -- that there's a “limited risk of a significantly delayed launch" for the "iPhone 8" (shown in fanciful mock-ups).</p>

ParkerVision shares up after its patent infringement case against Apple reopened

LG wants a piece of Samsung’ OLED iPhone screen business

IDC: ‘next round of iPhones isn’t likely to disappoint fans’

<p>According to a new forecast from the International Data Corporation (<a href="http://www.idc.com/">IDC</a>) <a target="_blank" href="http://www.idc.com/tracker/showproductinfo.jsp?prod_id=37" rel="noopener noreferrer">Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker</a>, worldwide smartphone shipments are expected to rebound slightly in 2017 with expected growth of 3% over the previous year. And things are looking good for Apple's iPhone.</p>

15-inch MacBook Pro deliveries slip to June 5 (or later)

<p>As noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://www.macrumors.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors</a>, Apple has updated its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro/15-inch" rel="noopener noreferrer">online store</a> to indicate that 15-inch MacBook Pro orders are now estimated for free delivery between June 5-8 in the U.S. This makes sense, as new laptops are predicted to be unveiled at next week's Apple Worldwide Developer Conference.</p>
