<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/06/15/apple-forecast-to-sell-415m-iphones-in-solid-june-quarter" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a> — Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri forecasts shipments of 41.5 million iPhone units in the current June 2017 quarter. This would be an increase from the 40.4 million smartphones the tech giant sold in the June quarter of 2016.</p>

<p>Ex-Apple exec Scott Forstall, the leader of the iPhone software team Scott Forstall, will sit down with Computer History Museum historian John Markoff on June 20 to share his experience working with the late Steve Jobs on the secretive Apple iPhone project, codenamed “Project Purple.”</p>

<p>IBM has announced an expansion of its mobile portfolio for enterprises as it continues to create analytics-driven and cognitive enabled enterprise iOS apps that enable organizations to accelerate digital reinvention and transform how businesses engage across industries.</p>

<p>A newly granted Apple patent (number 20170170859) for an “accessory case for wireless electronic device” will only add fuel to the <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/6/14/rumor-wireless-charging-waterproof-bodies-3d-sensing-modules-coming-to-at-least-some-iphone-8-models" rel="noopener noreferrer">speculation</a> that the upcoming “iPhone 8” will have wireless charging. </p>

<p>Synology has launched the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.synology.com/products/DS1517" rel="noopener noreferrer">DiskStation DS1517</a> and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.synology.com/products/DS1817" rel="noopener noreferrer">DS181</a>7, a, respectively, scalable 5-bay and 8-bay desktop NAS. DS1817 is the first value series equipped with built-in 10GbE LAN ports and an expandable RAM module, delivering “future-proof, high-speed storage for professionals and growing small/medium-sized businesses,” according to Katarina Shah, product manager.</p>

<p>Samsung phones may have topped the iPhone in the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.consumerreports.org/smartphones/samsung-galaxy-s8-phones-top-consumer-reports-smartphone-ratings/" rel="noopener noreferrer">latest smartphone ratings</a> from <em>Consumer Research</em>, but the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus remain the top-selling phones in the U.S.</p>

<p>I haven’t yet had a chance to test the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.apple.com/us/search/Magic-Keyboard-with-Numeric-Keypad?src=globalnav" rel="noopener noreferrer">Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad</a>. However, if you don't want to shell out $129 for Apple’s keyboard, the $59.95 <a target="_blank" href="http://www.kanex.com/multisync-mac-keyboard" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kanex MultiSync Keyboard</a> for Mac and iOS is a viable replacement for use with the <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/6/14/new-imac-is-the-best-all-in-one-yet-and-the-best-mac-ever" rel="noopener noreferrer">new iMacs</a> if you don’t like the Magic Keyboard 2.</p>

<p>Touchtype is working on the <a target="_blank" href="http://touchtypecase.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Touchtype Pro</a> for the iPad and is conducting a crowdfunding campaign to finance it. CEO Salman Sajid says it’s the most versatile iPad Keyboard case for these reasons:</p>

<p>Apple supplier Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn Technology Group, is considering building a U.S. factory in Wisconsin, according to the <a target="_blank" href="http://host.madison.com/wsj/business/iphone-manufacturer-foxconn-eyes-wisconsin-for-new-plant/article_ff7a6d1f-b16b-5559-8dec-94b935ee01e1.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">Associated Press</a>. Quoting unnamed “sources,” the article says that Wisconsin officials and company execs are in discussions about the plant.</p>
