CUBIK takes an angular approach to computer speakers

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.paloaltoaudio.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Palo Alto Audio Design's CUBIK digital audio speaker</a> is a computer speaker system that designed with the audiophile in mind. Though $199.95 seems a bit pricey for a speaker system with no subwoofer, the sound is as good for a subwoofer-less speaker system as I've heard. </p>

Whisply is a new Mac compatible file transfer service

<p>Secomba, the developer of the cloud encryption solution <a target="_blank" href="http://www.boxcryptor.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Boxcryptor</a>, has debuted Whisply, a web-based file transfer service that allows you to send files end-to-end-encrypted out of Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. Also, Boxcryptor for Mac OS X and Windows has been upgraded with new features, including Whisply integration.  </p>

Apple’s Cookie Monster/Siri commercial is one of the top 10 ‘Breakthrough ads’

<p>Apple’s TV commercial in which the Cookie Monster uses Siri is one of the top 10 “Breakthrough ads” from the second quarter of 2016, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.acemetrix.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ace Metrix,</a> a company that measures the impact of video advertising. “Likeability” and “attention” are the attributes of the ads on the list.</p>

Your heirs may not get your digital goodies when you die

<p>You may not know it but when you "buy" digital content such as books, music and movies from Apple and Amazon, you're not actually buying them but renting them. As more people realize this, it's unlikely they'll reconsider making physical purchases instead of digital ones. But this needs to change. </p>

You may think you don’t need a product like MacScan 3, but you probably do

<p>I’ve never had any problems with malware, adware, ransomeware or any sort of nasty-ware on any of the many Macs I’ve owned. However, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/2459197-bit9-carbon-black-threat-research-report-2015.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">a study by the Bit9 + Carbon Black Threat Research Team</a> says that five times more OS X malware appeared in 2015 than in the previous five years combined, so I guess precautions are needed.</p>

Apple Pay comes to Switzerland

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.apple.com/chde/apple-pay/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple has announced</a> that Apple Pay, is mobile payment system to customers in Switzerland, offering initial support for both Visa and Mastercard credit cards, as well as Bonus Card, Cornercard or Swiss Bankers credit and prepaid cards.</p>
