<p>At today’s special media event, Apple introduced the iPhone X (yep, that’s the name, not the iPhone Pro or iPhone Edition). CEO Tim Cook said it would set the pattern of smartphone technology for the next decade.</p>
<p>As expected, at today’s Apple media event, CEO Tim Cook and Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, introduced the new Apple TV. Or, more precisely, the Apple TV 4K, which has support for 4K and HDR.</p>
<p>In celebration of the iPhone’s 10-year anniversary, WaterField has introduced a custom iPhone Camera Bag in elegant leather or black ballistic nylon designed to hold detachable lenses, mini tripod, and other photo accessories for the new iPhones expected to debut today. </p>
<p>Apple has filed for a patent (number 9,761,927) for a “battery case with supplemental antenna features” for the iPhone. It involves a removable case for use with the smartphone.</p>
<p>A survey of three dozen Asian companies that supply Apple shows shipments are already way up. "Initial launch volumes are up 10-15% year over year," <a target="_blank" href="http://www.longbowresearch.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Longbow Research</a> says in a note to clients.</p>

The company is working on the tests with partners including Stanford and telemedicine company American Well, reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/11/apple-watch-caridac-arrhythmia-tests-stanford-american-well.html" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Reuters</em></a>, according to two unnamed “people familiar with the matter.”</p>

The market intelligence firm forecasts that global production volume of iPhone devices (including all previous models) for 2017 will total around 227.5 million units, representing an annual increase of 5.6%.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.latenightsw.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Late Night Software</a> recently revved Script Debugger, its AppleScript authoring environment for the Mac, to version 6.0.5. It’s a maintenance release that addresses a series of issues that came to light following the release of Script Debugger 6.0. The tweaks make a good app even better. And Late Night Software seems to love AppleScript more than Apple does.</p>
