<p>The reason for the switch from Android to iOS is an odd reason. It's all because of my 15 year old son!</p><p>I've been using the Google Pixel XL for a while now and I've had no issues with it, but when Google announced the Pixel 2 back in October, I almost pulled the trigger on the upgrade. I decided that I really didn't need a new phone and that I would be wasting money upgrading. I resisted and moved on. </p>

I have had an iPhone 5C as my work phone but it's never on as I have my calls and text messages forwarded to my personal phone to avoid carrying two phones. Prior the iPhone X, the lastest iOS device that I used for more than a day or two was the iPhone 4, which I used for 6 months before returning to Android.</p>

<p>UK Chancellor Philip Hammond has announced a Treasury crackdown on big tech firms which use complex, offshore tax structures to minimize their UK tax bill. He said the government would tax British royalties held in offshore accounts starting next year.</p>

<p>Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,826,301) for an AirPod case with an inductive charging system that includes a rechargeable battery and a first and a second charging system. It involves Apple’s upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat that’s due in 2018.</p>

<p>Apple’s $149.99 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQG12ZM/A/leather-sleeve-for-12%E2%80%91inch-macbook-saddle-brown" rel="noopener noreferrer">leather sleeve for MacBook</a> is, as far as I can tell, the first case the tech giant has ever released for one of its laptops. And it’s as classy, and pricey, as you’d expect. </p>
