<p>Another day, another lawsuit. Non-practicing entity Ironworks Patents has filed a lawsuit against Apple, hoping to claim up to 12.5 cents per iPhone for U.S. patents originally belonging to Sony and Nokia, reports <em><a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/10/10/patent-holding-firm-picks-up-sony-nokia-ip-files-suit-against-apple" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInside</a>r</em>.</p>

<p>The keynote for MacTech Conference will be Trammell Hudson of Thunderstrike and Magic Lantern fame. He’s a programmer and reverse engineer who focuses on low-level software and hardware security. </p>

The average American household reports owning 2.6 Apple products, up by a full Apple product from the 2012 survey.</p>

<p>A self-adjusting band for the Apple Watch, anyone? It’s possible. Apple has filed for a patent (number 9,781,984) for “dynamic fit adjustment for wearable electronic devices.”</p>

<p>In a note to clients,, RBC Capital Markets <a target="_blank" href="http://www.marketwatch.com/story/apple-stock-could-get-a-trillion-dollar-tailwind-from-trumps-tax-reforms-says-rbc-2017-10-10?siteid=rss&rss=1" rel="noopener noreferrer">says</a> Apple could reach a “trillion dollar market-cap scenario” thanks to President Trump’s tax plan. </p>

<p>Gumdrop has released its DropTech case for the 11-inch MacBook Air. It has a rugged bumper around the edges, and features transparent windows on the top and bottom to show off logos, asset tags, stickers and other personalizations. </p>

<p>More than 300 people have attended a rally in Athenry, Co Galway, Ireland, to support Apple's proposed €850m data centre for the town, reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.rte.ie/news/2017/1008/910703-athenry-apple/" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>RTE</em></a>. The tech giant was granted planning permission over two years ago but construction has been delayed by legal challenges.</p>

<p>Bank of America Merrill Lynch <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/09/apple-shares-to-soar-on-president-trumps-tax-reform-bank-of-america-predicts.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">reiterates</a> its “buy” rating and $180 price target for Apple, forecast that President Trump’s tax reform plan will benefit the company.</p>
