<p>Apple continues to expand its video team. The tech giant has hired two business affairs execs — Philip Matthys from Hulu and Jennifer Wang Grazier from Legendary Entertainment — for “key roles” on its expanding original entertainment team, reports <em><a target="_blank" href="http://variety.com/2017/digital/news/apple-philip-matthys-hulu-jennifer-wang-grazier-legendary-1202637357/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Variety</a>.</em> </p>

<p>Apple has updated its updated its existing AirPort devices with firmware updates that patches vulnerabilities to KRACK attacks that allow a malicious hacker to bypass WPA2 encryption on Wi-Fi networks and make a user's data easy to view. </p>

<p>Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,839,851) for “allowing media and gaming environments to effectively interact and/or affect each other.” Basically, it allows games on an Apple device — Mac, iPhone, or iPad —  to use and share data from your music and photo libraries.</p>

<p>Caleb Sasser, the co-founder of Panic, which makes macOS and iOS apps, <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/cabel/status/940669442165415936" rel="noopener noreferrer">has tweeted</a> that the iMac Pro features some new Apple custom silicon: the T2 chip, which makes it the most secure Mac desktop ever.</p>

<p>Apple’s iMac Pro will be <a target="_blank" href="https://www.apple.com/imac-pro/" rel="noopener noreferrer">available to order on December 14</a> with pricing starting at $4,999. Announced in June, with its 27-inch Retina 5K display, next generation Intel Xeon processors up to 18 cores, up to 22 Teraflops of graphics computation, up to 16GB of VRAM, up to 128GB of memory, built-in Ethernet, and support for one billion colors, it’s most powerful Mac ever made. </p>

<p>I don’t think this is true, but if it is it’s one of the dumbest moves Apple could make: Apple is preparing to end music download offerings on the iTunes Store, perhaps within two years.</p>

<p>Apple filed a petition at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board on Friday challenging the validity of an electrical circuitry patent held by a company with ties to a trio of Native American tribes, setting up the possibility for a defense based on the tribes' sovereign rights, reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/993556/apple-challenges-patent-held-by-native-american-tribes?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law360</a>.</p>

<p>Apple’s App Store <a target="_blank" href="https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/apps/news/51320438" rel="noopener noreferrer">has a new feature</a> that allows developers to make new iOS 11 apps available for pre-order up to 90 days before release.</p>
