Clips introduces Selfie Scenes for immersive, 360-degree selfies on iPhone X

<p>Apple has announced a major update to <a href="https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2017/03/apple-introduces-clips-the-fun-new-way-to-create-expressive-videos-on-ios/">Clips</a>, the free app for iOS that makes it easy to create and share videos using an iPhone or iPad. The upgrade  introduces Selfie Scenes and adds artistic style transfer effects and a redesigned interface.</p>

Study: Americans will overlook a lot of inconvenience to get a new iPhone

<p>Americans are so excited about the new iPhone that they would overcome a great deal of inconvenience—and adversity—to lay their hands on one, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.levadata.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">LevaData</a>, a company “that helps global enterprises improve gross margins by reducing supply chain costs.” I’m assuming the “new iPhone” is the iPhone X, but LevaData doesn’t specify.</p>

Apple acquires company that makes QuantumFilm camera sensors

<p>It was rumored last month, but now it’s apparently happened: Apple has acquired <a target="_blank" href="http://www.invisage.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">InVisage Technologies</a>, a developer of QuantumFilm camera sensors, eports <a target="_blank" href="https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/09/apple-has-acquired-imaging-sensor-startup-invisage-technologies/?ncid=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Techcrunch+%28TechCrunch%29" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>TechCrunch</em></a>.</p>

TrendForce predicts a ‘surge’ in iPhone X production

<p>A new report from the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.trendforce.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">TrendForce </a>estimates that the iPhone production volume for the fourth quarter will reach 81 million units with the iPhone X accounting for 33% of the total. The research group expects a “surge” of iPhone X production that will last through the first half of 2018, which will help Apple unseat Samsung as the world’s largest smartphone maker.</p>

The Visitor Center at the Apple Park will open to the public on Nov. 17

<p>The Visitor Center at Apple's new Apple Park campus (the “spaceship campus”) will open to the public on Friday, Nov. 17, according to an internal email that Apple sent out to employees. The date is also listed on a sign at Apple Park that was <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/iGrahamC/status/928367381319098368" rel="noopener noreferrer">shared</a> on Twitter.</p>

Apple opens Everyone Can Code initiatives to students worldwide

<p>Apple has announced the global expansion of its Everyone Can Code initiative to more than 20 colleges and universities outside of the U.S. These schools will now offer the App Development with Swift Curriculum, a full-year course designed by Apple engineers and educators to teach coding and app design to students of all levels and backgrounds. </p>

Apple scoops up Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s dramatic series

<p>Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s dramatic series exploring the behind-the-scenes action of daily morning shows and its players, has officially been ordered to series by Apple for two seasons, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://ew.com/tv/2017/11/08/jennifer-aniston-reese-witherspoon-series-apple/" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Entertainment Weekly</em></a>. Witherspoon and Aniston will both star in and executive-produce the untitled project.</p>

Rumor: the 2018 iPad Pro will sport Face ID, a new Apple Pencil

<p>Apple is working on a redesigned, “high-end iPad” (which, I assume, means an iPad Pro) for 2018 that incorporates iPhone X features such as slimmer edges and Face I.D., reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-08/apple-is-said-to-plan-2018-ipad-redesign-with-facial-recognition" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Bloomberg</em></a>, quoting unnamed “people familiar with the matter.”</p>
