Apple teams with Malala Fund to support girls’ education

TAP-EX is useful for extending wireless networks in homes, small businesses

<p>If you have not-so-hot spots in your home or small business in which your wireless network is weak, Amped Wireless' <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ampedwireless.com/tap-ex.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">TAP-EX extender</a> is a decent investment at $89.99 (originally it was $119.99). Not so much for multi-level apartment complexes and big businesses.</p>

HomePod receives FCC approval, should be available soon

<p>Apple’s HomePod has received official FCC approval, which means the smart speaker should be available any day now. Plus, according to the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/biz/archives/2018/01/16/2003685829" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Taipei Time</em></a><em>s</em>, Inventec Corp., one of the two assemblers for the smart speaker, has released an initial shipment of about one million.</p>

Analyst: iPhone X sales weaker than expected, but 2018 iPhones will pick up the slack

<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="https://www.macrumors.com/2018/01/19/kgi-larger-iphones-to-offset-weak-iphone-demand/" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em></a> — KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says demand for the iPhone X has been weaker than expected (mainly in China), but that larger-sized iPhone models in the pipeline should see Apple grow its overall worldwide shipments year-on-year.</p>
