<p>The news of Apple rebranding the iBooks Store to Apple Books, and preparing a fresh new entry in the digital publishing landscape, is welcome, says Bradley Metrock, CEO of Score Publishing.</p>

<p>Touch sensitive devices such as the iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch have become popular as input devices. However, occasionally a touch may have an unwanted outcome, so Apple has filed for a patent (number 20180024693) for “touch rejection.”</p>

<p>Apple has announced that iOS 11.3, coming  this spring, will support Advanced Mobile Location (AML). This technology is used when an emergency call is being placed to send accurate location data of the caller in distress directly to the emergency services.</p>

<p>Apple is working on a new ebook reader for iPhones and iPads take on Amazon in the digital book market again, reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-25/apple-is-said-to-ready-revamped-e-books-push-against-amazon" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Bloomberg</em></a>.</p>

<p>Apple Garosugil, the company’s first store in South Korea, will open in Seoul on Saturday at 10 a.m. South of the Han River, in the heart of the Gangnam area, the store’s 25-foot glass facade invites visitors in from the tree-lined street, where interior trees mirror those outside, blurring the lines between the street and store. It also sports a dynamic 6K video wall.</p>
