Tim Cook thinks apps removed from the China Apple App Store will be reinstated

<p>CEO Tim Cook <a target="_blank" href="https://in.reuters.com/article/china-fortunteforum-apple/apples-cook-optimistic-that-apps-pulled-in-china-will-be-back-idINKBN1E00MS?feedType=RSS&feedName=businessNews&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+reuters%2FINbusinessNews+%28News+%2F+IN+%2F+Business+News%29" rel="noopener noreferrer">says</a> he expects the apps removed from the China App Store earlier this year will be reinstated. The tech giant was criticised for pulling virtual private network and messaging apps from the Chinese store due to pressure from the country’s regulators.</p>

‘Consumer Reports’ ranks the iPhone 8/8 Plus higher than the iPhone X

Apple acquires Pop Up Archive for its podcast tech

<p>Apple has acquired Pop Up Archive, a startup that with tech that makes podcasts even searchable, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://www.niemanlab.org/2017/12/apple-has-acquired-pop-up-archive-an-interesting-startup-that-makes-podcasts-more-searchable/" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>NiemanLab</em></a>. Apple magnetic stand invention would allow two iPads to work together

<p>Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,839,147) for a magnetic stand with a removable tripod for the iPad. The stand is configured to rigidly hold a portion of the tablet in place, to shield the magnetic field from adversely affecting nearby devices susceptible to strong magnetic fields, and to allow two iPads to work together. </p>
