<p>New research from <a target="_blank" href="http://www.gartner.com/newsroom/id/3790965" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gartner</a> says the global wearables market will grow 16.7% this year driven by strong smartwatch sales led by Apple.</p>

<p>There’s more evidence that the Apple Pencil will come to the iPhone in two new patent filings. They join the previously reported <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/5/23/apple-patent-filing-hints-at-iphones-and-macs-that-can-use-the-apple-pencil?rq=Apple%20Pencil" rel="noopener noreferrer">patent number 9,648,7040</a> — which also hinted at Macs that could use the stylus … er … pencil.</p>

<p>Akitio will release a new four bay, Thunderbolt 3 storage solution for Mac and Windows at the upcoming BIRTV Show in Beijing, China. <p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.aerixdrones.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Aerix Drones</a> has released the $295 DaVinci, the company’s first mid-sized aerial photography and racing drone hybrid. Its on-board first-person view (FPV) camera streams live video and records to the on-board micro SD card in 720p at 25fps, making it Aerix’s highest resolution video drone yet.</p>

<p>Okay, Apple, it’s time for a fifth generation Apple TV with 4K and HDR support. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.parksassociates.com/report/reinventing-ce" rel="noopener noreferrer">New consumer research</a> from Parks Associates reveals Roku is increasing its lead in the streaming media player landscape, with 37% of U.S. households owning and using a Roku device as of quarter one (Q1) of 2017, That’s up from 30% in Q1 2016. The research group says this increase in share of installed base puts Roku further ahead of its main competitors Amazon, Google, and Apple.</p>

<p>The “iPhone 8” will come with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB of RAM, according to the Chinese site, GeekBar — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/08/23/apples-iphone-8-to-come-with-64-256-or-512gb-of-storage-3gb-of-ram---report" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider.</a> What’s more, the high end Apple smartphone will also pack 3GB of RAM.</p>
