<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple shares are trading up 2% at $227.41 -- the best Dow stock so far today -- and fresh off a record high of $228.26, after the tech giant confirmed its next big media event will be held on Sept. 12 and at which new iPhones and other products will be revealed.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple’s next big media event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. (Pacific) at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, California. The tech giant has sent out press invitations dubbed “Gather Round,” referring (I’d guess) to the main ring-shaped building at the Apple Park “spaceship campus.”</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The original iPhone launched in 2007 with just a 3.5-inch display. Since then, phones have grown dramatically and Samsung’s new Note9 features its largest screen yet, at 6.4 inches. <p style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.evehome.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Eve Systems</a> is expanding its connected home product family, Eve, to include: an European version of Eve Light Switch; a LED accent lighting solution, Eve Light Strip; and a triple-socket Eve Power Strip. </p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has been granted two patents involving the Apple Watch. Patent number 20180248634 is for “dynamically adjustable antennas for wearable devices.” It involves a wristwatch that with wireless circuitry in the device that may include an antenna formed on or over the rear wall. </p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple is teaming up with Postmates, a logistics company that operates a network of couriers who deliver goods locally, for a new Apple Pay promo: use the company’s mobile payment service in the Postmates app — available at the Apple App Store — and pay no delivery fee.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has asked a Utah federal court for a quick win to end an antenna maker's lawsuit accusing it of copying the company's products that are licensed to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the U.S. Department of Defense, saying the patent is too vague, reports <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1077955/apple-says-vagueness-dooms-antenna-maker-s-patent-suit-?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology&read_more=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Law360</em></a>. </p>

After President Donald Trump raged on Twitter about "fake news media" dominating web search results, a conservative nonprofit <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1078240/conservatives-hit-tech-giants-with-1b-free-speech-suit?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology&read_more=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">has sued</a> tech giants Apple, Facebook, Google, and Twitter  for $1 billion in a Washington, D.C., federal court Wednesday, alleging they violated antitrust statutes and the First Amendment by censoring conservative content.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple will add 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models released in Mid 2012 to its <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201624" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">vintage and obsolete products list</a> on Aug. 31, according to an internal document distributed to Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers and obtained by <a href="http://www.macrumors.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em></a>.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">George Berry worked at Apple for almost six years, first as its senior manager of Video Operations and then of Global Media Services. <p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">A new <a href="https://loupventures.com/iphone-intent-to-upgrade-survey-suggests-slight-upside-to-street-numbers" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">survey</a> of 530 U.S. consumers by Loup Ventures lineup found that 48% of current iPhone owners plan to upgrade in the next year. That compares to 25% when the survey was taken in June of 2017. </p>
