It could be late 2018 before we get a MacBook Pro with 32GB of memory

<p>Cannon Lake, Intel's next generation of Core processors, could arrive later than initially believed. Intel has rescheduled the release of its next-generation Cannon Lake-based processors to the end of 2018, reports <a target="_blank" href="https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20170920PD207.html" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>DigiTimes</em></a>, quoting unnamed “sources from the upstream supply chain.” This could delay the anticipated 32GB MacBook Pro.</p>

iOS 11 already installed on 10.01% of compatible devices

<p>iOS 11 is installed on 10.01% of compatible devices 24 hours after launch, according to data from Mixpanel (as noted by <em><a target="_blank" href="http://MacRumors.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors.com</a></em>). Sounds good, but the analytics company says it’s seeing slower adoption rates than iOS 10 saw during the same adoption period in 2016.</p>

Analyst: pre-orders for the iPhone 8 are lower than for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6

<p>Rosenblatt analyst Jun Zhang <a target="_blank" href="https://www.streetinsider.com/Analyst+Comments/Apple+%28AAPL%29+iPhone+8+Preorders+are+Weak+-+Rosenblatt/13313354.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">tells clients that</a> pre-orders for the iPhone 8 have come in well below the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6. Pre-orders started on Sept. 15 and the first models are due to arrive this Friday.</p>

AirPlay 2 doesn’t seem to be enabled in iOS 11 or tvOS

<p>Initial testing suggests that AirPlay 2 isn’t currently enabled in iOS 11, tvOS 11 or both, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/09/20/apples-airplay-2-not-currently-functional-in-ios-11-devices-connected-to-tvos-11" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a>. Hopefully, it will be added soon in operating system updates — along with other promised-but-missing features such as Apple Pay Cash (for iOS 11 and watchOS 4).</p>

Apple issues a statement on Apple Watch Series 3 cellular connection issues

A curved screen iMac with a built-in TV tuner, anyone?

<p>Apple has always gone its own way, so I don’t expect to see a curved screen iMac or Thunderbolt Display anytime soon. Analyst: if it’s a hit, expect to see Face ID replace Touch ID in all 2018 iPhones and iPads

<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/09/19/all-2018-iphones-likely-to-adopt-face-id-biometrics-nix-touch-id" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a> — KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that, if Face ID on the iPhone X is a hit, we’ll see it replacing Touch ID on future iPhones and iPads. If it’s not a big hit, expect to see iOS devices sporting Face ID and Touch ID. He also expects the TrueDepth camera of the iPhone X in all future iOS gadgets. </p>
