The never-ending Apple-Samsung legal brouhaha continues on…

<p>The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has reopened the never-ending Apple lawsuit accusing Samsung of copying the iPhone's design, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.law360.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law360</a>. This comes just over a month after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Samsung may not have to pay all its profits from the smartphones found to infringe Apple’s design patents.</p>

tvOS app size restrictions upped from 200MB to 4GB

How to disable LinkedIn birthdays in macOS Sierra Calendar

<p>I use iCloud Calendar. Some time ago, I added my LinkedIn account to macOS Sierra. Then I noticed that Calendar showed not only the birthdays from my contacts (which I want to happen), but also all the birthdays from my 600+ LinkedIn connections. Sorry, LinkedIn pals, but I don’t want this.</p>

Consumer Reports retests and now recommends 2016 MacBook Pros

<p><em>Consumer Reports</em> <a href="http://www.consumerreports.org/apple/consumer-reports-now-recommends-macbook-pros/">has released an updated report</a> on the 2016 MacBook Pro, and is now recommending the laptop following retesting. In the new test, conducted running a beta version of macOS that fixes the Safari-related bug that caused erratic battery life in the original test, all three MacBook Pro models "performed well." </p>

Judge rules that iPhone users can sue Apple for anticompetitive practices

<p>The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that iPhone app purchasers may sue Apple over allegations that the company monopolized the market for iPhone apps by not allowing users to purchase them outside the Apple App Store, leading to higher prices, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-court-idUSKBN14W2VH" rel="noopener noreferrer">Reuters</a>. </p>

LG UltraFine 5K is a great display for new MacBook Pros (and looks aren’t everything)

Thankfully, the UltraFine 5K addresses some of its smaller siblings’ shortcomings (which it should since it’s more expensive).</p>
