<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Another day, another lawsuit. Despite a long history of working with the tech giant, Kaspersky Lab, a global security company, <a href="https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/apple-fas-complaint/26017/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">has filed a complaint</a> against Apple Inc. with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia regarding Apple’s policy on apps distributed through the App Store. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.recode.net/2019/3/18/18271916/netflix-apple-reed-hastings-video-plans-tech-company-regulation-press-conference-ted-sarandos" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Netflix CEO Reed Hastings says </a>Netflix won’t sell subscriptions or offer existing content to customers through an Apple branded video streaming service expected for unveiling on March 25. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In an email to business customers, Apple announced a new feature for the Wallet app on iOS devices for implementing a “seamless checkout” at one of the company’s retail stores. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The <a href="https://audeara.com/products/audeara-a-01-headphones" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Audeara A-01 </a> is the world’s first headphone that offers an in-built hearing test to protect users’ ears. It also offers excellent sound, although, to my ears, my AirPods sound just as good.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has been granted a patent (number 10,237,509) that involves Mac keyboards that could utilize augmented displays in conjunction with a head-mounted display (the rumored “Apple Glasses” that are expected to debut next year).</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple was the #1 brand for both women and men in <a href="https://mblm.com/press-releases/technology-telecommunications-industry-ranked-3-in-mblms-brand-intimacy-2019-study/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MBLM’s Brand Intimacy 2019 Study</a>. The tech giant was also #1 for millennials, users over 35 and users with incomes of $50,000 or more. (Google was the #1 brand for users with incomes under $50,000)</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has announced a new initiative in support of leading nonprofit organizations in the US and Europe that offer nonpartisan, independent media literacy programs. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">I have been anxiously awaiting an iMac upgrade. It’s finally happened — and with some much-needed speed boosts — but I’ll probably pass on the upgrade. Here’s why….</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In addition to revamped iMacs, Apple has updated the iMac Pro build-to-order options for those who have plenty of moolah to spend.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has finally updated its <a href="https://www.apple.com/imac/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iMac</a> line with up to 8-core Intel 9th-generation processors for the first time and Vega graphics options. Sadly (well, for me anyway) there’s no 32-inch version as had been rumored.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">GarageBand turns 15 this year. <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/apple-garageband-modern-music-784257/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><em>Rolling Stone</em></span></a> offers a behind-the-scenes look at Apple’s entry level, music creation tool.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The worldwide market for wearable devices, now inclusive of wireless headphones with smart assistants, is forecast to grow 15.3% over the previous year to 198.5 million units by the end of 2019, according to the International Data Corporation (<a href="http://www.idc.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline">IDC</span></a>) <a href="http://www.idc.com/tracker/showproductinfo.jsp?prod_id=962" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline">Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker</span></a>. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The Apple TV is at the bottom of the US connected TV market, behind Roku, Amazon Fire, and Google Chromecast, according to <a href="http://www.eMarketer.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">eMarketer</a>. This year, 25.1 million Americans will use an Apple TV device, or 13.2% of connected TV users, says the research group.</p>
