Brexit app is coming to the iPhone this year

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Sajid Javid — home secretary of the United Kingdom — says  the controversial Brexit app for European Union citizens’ residency rights will finally work on iPhones, reports <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/mar/29/android-brexit-app-for-eu-citizens-to-work-on-iphones-says-sajid-javid" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The Guardian</em></a>.</p>

I was hoping for more, but 2019 iMac is still the best all-around Mac

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Previously, <a href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2019/3/19/heres-why-ill-probably-pass-on-the-new-imac?rq=2019%20iMac" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">I said </a>I’d probably pass on the latest iMac upgrade. However, I changed my mind because — despite my disappointment that there was no screen update, no T2 security chip, etc. — I still think it’s the best Mac for the money.</p>

News round-up: Award winning photo was taken with an iPhone 6 (and more)

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Friends of the Columbia Gorge, a nonprofit based out of Portland, Oregon, <a href="https://gorgefriends.org/photocontest" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">have announced</a> the winners of its fourth annual photo contest. The winning photo (pictured) was taken by Colleen Wright of Lake Oswego in Oregon using an iPhone 6. </p>

Apple hires augmented reality/virtual reality expert

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://variety.com/2019/digital/news/apple-arthur-van-hoff-1203184373/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Variety</em></a> reports that Apple has hired Arthur van Hoff, a founding executive of the Disney-backed VR startup <a href="https://variety.com/t/jaunt/"><span style="text-decoration:underline">Jaunt</span></a>. He started in a senior architect position this month, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/aavanhoff/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline">according to his Linkedin profile.</span></a></p>

Just remember that beta software, so proceed with care.</p>

Rumor: Apple planning a 4.8-inch iPhone SE successor: the XE

Previously, he prognosticated that we’d see the revamped laptop later this year.</p>
