<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple previewed <a href="https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13-preview/">iOS 13</a> at today’s Worldwide Developer Conference keynote. The operating system update introduces a new look with Dark Mode and new ways to browse and edit photos, sign in to apps and websites, and navigate the world with an all-new map. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">During today’s Worldwide Developer Conference keynote, Apple previewed iPadOS, an operating system with a new name to recognize the distinctive experience of the iPad. It builds on the same foundation as iOS, adding new capabilities and features specific to the large display and versatility of the tablet.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple previewed watchOS 6 during the Worldwide Developer Conference keynote today. It empowers Apple Watch users to better manage their health and fitness, and gives access to dynamic new watch faces and the App Store directly on Apple Watch, according to Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">At today’s Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple previewed tvOS 13, the operating system for its Apple TV 4K set-top box. The latest version gains an immersive new Home screen; multi-user support for customers to access their own TV shows, movies, music and recommendations; support for Apple Arcade; expanded game controller support; and new 4K HDR screen savers filmed under the sea.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">European Union (EU) regulators will decide what steps to take regarding Spotify’s complaint about Apple once they get a response from the iPhone maker, Europe’s antitrust chief says.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Samsung continues a streak of dominating all brands in the overall reliability of its computers on the market with Lenovo coming in second and Apple devices dropping in reliability among consumers in the 2019 <a href="https://www.rescuecom.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">RESCUECOM Computer Liability Report</a>.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Larry O'Connor, CEO of <a href="https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=2483950-1&h=3237258632&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.owc.com%2F&a=OWC%C2%AE"><span style="text-decoration:underline">OWC</span></a> —a North American producer of solid state drives (SSDs), Thunderbolt external drives, PC & Mac docking solutions and performance upgrade kits —  has issued comments on the May 30, 2019, statement from the White House regarding proposed new tariffs on imports from Mexico.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has filed for a patent (number 10,303,218) for a “foldable cover and display for an electronic device.” It hints at a foldable iPhone, though the Sellers Research Group (that’s me) is dubious the tech giant will ever release such a smartphone.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">On a regular basis, <em>Apple World Today</em> posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The break-up of iTunes on the Mac has long been rumored, but it’s going to be announced at next week’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), according to <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-05-31/apple-s-future-ios-13-macos-10-15-watchos-6-tvos-13-mac-pro" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Bloomberg</a>'s Mark Gurman.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">An <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208922" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">updated support document</a> from Apple notes that the Back to My Mac service is being removed from all versions of macOS as of July 1.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Flikflix has teamed up with Atom Tickets, the social movie ticketing platform, to power in-theater movie tickets for the Flikflix App for iOS and tvOS devices. </p>
