<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has released HomePod OS 13.2.1 for the HomePod. This follows the 13.2 release on Oct. 28, which “bricked” some of the smart speakers. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In a conference call discussing Apple’s financial results for its fiscal 2019 fourth quarter that ended Sept. 28, CEO said that Mac revenue was down 5% year-over-year ($6.9 billion for the quarter) because of the release cycle changes. Namely, there were no new MacBook Pros announced during the quarter as happened in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2018.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Starting later this year, customers will be able to pay for an iPhone directly from Apple Card over 24 months with no interest. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">According <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/30/apple-hires-cardiologist-david-tsay.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CNBC</a>, Apple has hired prominent cardiologist, Dr. David Tsay, for its health team. Its first cardiology hire was Alexis Beatty, who joined more than a year ago.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has announced financial results for its fiscal 2019 fourth quarter that ended Sept. 28. The company posted quarterly revenue of $64 billion, an increase of 2% from the year-ago quarter, and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $3.03, up 4%. International sales accounted for 60% of the quarter’s revenue.</p>

Expect its release soon, along with the 32-inch Apple XDR Pro Display.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple says its new <a href="https://www.apple.com/airpods-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AirPods Pro</a> are beginning to arrive at Apple retail stores and to customers. Mine are supposed to arrive today, so expect a review very soon.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">iPhone shipments in China fell by 28%, according to new data from <a href="https://www.canalys.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Canalys</a>. The research group says the iPhone 11 saved the decline from being even worse.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Well, I didn’t see that coming: Apple has announced its first bundle deal for Apple TV+. For subscribers to Apple Music on the student plan ($4.99 per month) Apple will giveaway Apple TV+ at no additional charge.</p>

In a new note to clients — as noted by <a href="https://www.macrumors.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors </a>— analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says a new Mac portable with a scissor keyboard will launch in mid-2020.</p>
