<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://www.macrumors.com" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em></a> — Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis says the upcoming "iPhone 8" (shown in a fanciful mock-up) will be bundled with a 10W power adapter with a USB-C connector and an integrated USB-C Power Delivery chip. </p>

<p>Google is the number one “dream employer” for high-achieving teenagers in the first generation of digital natives, according to the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.nshss.org/about/career-interest-survey/" rel="noopener noreferrer">National Society of High School Scholars' (NSHSS) 2017 career interest survey</a>. Apple places sixth on the list.</p>

<p>Universum Global, an employer branding company, has announced their 9th annual <a target="_blank" href="http://www2.universumglobal.com/worlds-most-attractive-employers-2017" rel="noopener noreferrer">World’s Most Attractive Employers</a> (WMAE) results from over 290,000 business and engineering/IT students from the world's 12 largest economies. Apple ranks third on the list (in two categories).</p>

<p>As noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/06/27/apple-enables-maps-transit-directions-in-madrid" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a>, Apple Maps now provides transit directions — complete with departure times, multi-modal transfers, and connecting walks — for Madrid, Spain.</p>

<p>Following the release of <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/5/15/apple-releases-ios-1032?rq=iOS%2010.3.2" rel="noopener noreferrer">iOS 10.3.2</a>, Apple has stopped signing iOS 10.3.1. This means you can’t downgrade to iOS 10.3.1. If you’ve upgraded, you must stay on iOS 10.3.2.</p>

<p>At some point, iOS and watchOS devices’ alarm settings may be determined by how the devices are oriented ad the environment their users are in at the time. Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,691,260) for an “electronic device with orientation-based alert adjustment.”</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.vertoanalytics.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Verto Analytics</a> just released the findings of a new study about who is most likely to switch from a Windows laptop/desktop to a Mac.</p>

<p>An Apple job posting — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/06/27/siri-is-looking-for-a-personal-assistant-event-maven/" rel="noopener noreferrer">9to5Mac</a> -- shows that Apple is looking to hire a <a href="https://jobs.apple.com/us/search#&t=1&sb=req_open_dt&so=1&lo=0*USA&pN=0&openJobId=83578927">“Siri Event Maven”</a> that will serve as a personal assistant for well, Apple’s digital personal assistant. </p>

<p>In a <a target="_blank" href="http://loupventures.com/apple-5-year-model-expect-apple-glasses-in-fy20/" rel="noopener noreferrer">blog post</a>, venture capitalist Gene Munster says iPhone growth will peak in fiscal year 2019, then slowly decline as “Apple Glasses” emerge. He thinks those glasses, an AR-focused wearable, will be released mid-fiscal year 2020. </p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.wowway.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Wide Open West (WOW!)</a> now supports Apple’s single sign-on feature for iPhones, iPads, and the Apple TV. It’s the ninth largest cable TV provider in the U.S. The company also offers landline telephone and broadband Internet services.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://urbanarmorgear.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Urban Armor Gear (UAG)</a> has launched its new Metropolis Series Case for the new iPad Pro 10.5 and 12.9-inch models at a price of $59.95 and $89.95, respectively.</p>

<p><em>MIT Technology Review</em> has released its 2017 list of the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.technologyreview.com/lists/companies/2017?utm_medium=press&utm_source=prnewswire&utm_campaign=50sc_traffic&utm_term=technology&utm_content=live_online" rel="noopener noreferrer">50 Smartest Companies</a>. Apple ranks number 16 on the list of honorees who, over the last 12 months, “have taken risks and demonstrated superior technological leadership and business acumen in their fields.”</p>

<p>Do you find it aggravating when, in cold weather, you have to remove your gloves to use the touch features of your iPhone or iPad? Apple wants to change that and has been granted a patent (number 9,609,417) for “glove touch detection.”</p>
