Astropad’s Slate lets you use your iPad as a giant Mac trackpad

Astropad has debuted its Slate app that lets you use an iPad as a giant trackpad for a Mac. According to the folks at Astropad, the app offers these features:

° Control your mouse with your Apple Pencil; your Pencil mirrors your Mac cursor.

° Replace your pen tablet with your iPad. Draw into your favorite desktop creative programs using your Apple Pencil.

° Your handwriting on your iPad transforms into text on your Mac. Write into Slate’s handwriting input box on iPad, and typed text will appear on your Mac.

° Use one and two-finger touch gestures on iPad to scroll and zoom on your Mac, just like a trackpad.

Slate costs US $19.99 and requires an iPad running iPadOS 15.0 or later and a Mac running macOS 11.0 or later.
