Arrival times for new HomePod orders now Feb. 12 (or later)

Hope you ordered your HomePod early, as shipping times for the wireless speaker have slipped a bit. The Apple online store shows that orders placed today should arrive by Feb. 12 at the earliest.

In the U.S.,, HomePod deliveries will kick off at around 8 a.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 9. MacRumors says that Apple is using Next Day Air delivery in the U.S. and shipping out from local hubs, which is why there’s no tracking information available yet. And which should explain why I can’t track my HomePod order, which was placed on Feb. 2.

The device is just under seven inches tall and looks like a piece of furniture. It will be available in both space gray and white, and also acts as a hub for HomeKit devices to provide remote access to home automation.
