Notable apps and updates, Feb. 2

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

CS Odessa has announces the Oil and Gas infographic Solution, a new solution for ConceptDraw DIAGRAM. It includes collections of samples and vector libraries that support many ways to professionally create graphics for the oil and gas industry.

The Oil and Gas infographic Solution contains eight libraries of vector stencils to design elements, including special symbols for oil and gas exploration and production equipment, images of various petrochemical products and more.

The new addition to ConceptDraw Solutions requires macOS 10.14 or higher and costs US$25 for current users of the latest ConceptDraw DIAGRAM v14 application. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM can exchange documents with Microsoft Visio. It can open and save files that can be used by Visio (VSD, VDX, and VSDX documents) users. It retails for $199 (USD) per end user license.

Zevrix Solutions has released BatchOutput PPT 2.2.20, a compatibility update to company’s output automation solution for Microsoft PowerPoint.

In addition to batch printing, the software lets users carry out automated professional feature-rich PDF production directly from PowerPoint. Users can reduce PDF file size, optimize images and encrypt PDF files. Version 2.2.20 adds support for the recently released macOS Big Sur and automatically fixes file permission errors during activation.

BatchOutput PPT can be purchased for $19.95 from the Zevrix website, as well as from the Mac App Store and authorized resellers. A demo is available for download. BatchOutput PPT requires macOS 10.9-11 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2008, 201, 2016 or 2019.
