Apple’s Swift is now the 10th most popular programming language

Apple’s Swift programming language is now the 10th most popular programming language, while Python has dropped out of The TIOBE Index’s top-three rankings, reports ZDNet. The Index the popularity of programming languages.

TIOBE relies on several search sources, including Google, Bing, and Wikipedia to determine which languages are most popular. Its top 10 languages in descending order for October are Java, C, C++, Python, Visual Basic .NET, C#, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and Swift.
