Apple ’s December smartphone shipments in China jumped due to the popularity of the iPhone 11, according to Bloomberg.
The tech giant’s shipments in the country grew 18.7% year-on-year in December to about 3.18 million units. That’s based on Bloomberg calculations based on data from the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, a government think tank.
Bloomberg credits much of this growth to the popularity of the iPhone 11. Apple’s gains are impressive considering that total smartphone shipments in China are down more than 13% year-on-year.
