Apple’s India retail partner to open 4-6 new flagship, premium stores

Apple now assembles one-in-7 of its iPhones in India.

Unicorn, Apple’s retail partner in India, is planning to open 4-6 new flagship and premium stores in the country in the next financial year, reports The Economic Times.

Unicorn, which operates under the brand name Uni, has 29 Apple stores across the country out of a total of 150 stores that sell Apple products. It opened an Apple Premiere Reseller store with 3,000 square feet on March 19 at the Pacific Mall in Tagore Garden area of West Delhi.

“We will be opening 4-6 new stores. Two flagship stores in the first half of the coming financial year and the rest in the second half,” Unicorn Infosolutions director Baljinder Paul Singh told The Economic Times. “”Apple business is growing in India. There are very loyal customers, which helps in dedicated sales. We have been growing at 30-35%. We are bullish on the growth with the growth in Apple’s business.”

Apple Authorized Resellers are those that sell multiple products from multiple brands at the same stores. Apple Premium Resellers are those which sell only, and only Apple products.
