Apple’s goal with the upcoming Apple Watch revamp is likely longer battery life

The Apple Watch Series 7 will likely ship in September or October

In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Ming-Chi Kuo weighs in on the Apple Watch Series 7. The update of the smart watch will likely ship in September or October.

Look for a significant redesign

Kuo says it could feature the first significant redesign in years. For instance, the goal is to use double-sided System in Package (SiP) tech to reduce the size of the processor. Conveniently, his would make room for a larger battery. And longer battery life is on the wish list of most Apple Watch users.

Rumors about Apple Watch Series 7

There are various rumors about the next generation smartwatch. Here are some of them:

° It will sport new health features, including blood glucose monitoring via an optical sensor.

° The smartwatch will see a slight redesign and be offered in a green hue.

° It will (d’uh) sport a faster processor.

° The smartwatch will sport a “new lamination technique” that raises the watch’s display closer to the top cover.

° The Apple Watch Series 7 will borrow updated ultra-wideband technology from the Apple AirTag key finder.
