Apple will launch its next Apple Watch activity challenge on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day

A new Earth Day 2026 report from CleanMyMac by MacPaw looks at digital clutter, its emotional cost, and how environmental awareness may change people's cleanup behavior.

As noted by MacRumors, Apple will launch its next Apple Watch activity challenge on Tuesday, April 22 in celebration of Earth Day.

To complete the challenge, Apple Watch owners must complete a workout that lasts for 30 minutes or longer, with the activity recorded through the Workout app or an app that adds information to the Health app. Apple Watch owners who earn the award will unlock an award in the Fitness app, plus they will get a series of animated stickers that can be used in the Messages and FaceTime apps.

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
