In a new job listing posted today — as noted by Cult of Mac — Apple says it is seeking a writer and editor who can help evolve its Siri personal digital assistant into a “distinct, recognizable character” and make it be “more effective and delightful.”
The new role was posted on LinkedIn this morning and is for a Siri Editorial Manager. Here’s the job description: “Siri lives at the intersection of high scale and leading edge technology. Each of Siri’s billions of weekly requests must be understood, parsed, and executed in real time, covering a scope of thousands of features in more than 30 locales across every Apple device category. In this role, you will lead a team of writers and editors to deliver polished and consistent dialog for Siri, and you will collaborate with international writers, designers, engineering, and Apple marketing staff to help Siri be more effective and delightful.”
Interested? You must have a BA degree in English, Literature, or Journalism or the equivalent and, among other things, least seven years of experience in relevant creative roles (writer, editor) and at least four years of experience managing teams of creatives.
