Apple wants someone to help develop a personal assistant for its Siri personal assistant

An Apple job posting — as noted by 9to5Mac — shows that Apple is looking to hire a “Siri Event Maven” that will serve as a personal assistant for well, Apple’s digital personal assistant.

In the job posting, Apple says the person hired will “play a part in the next revolution in human-computer interaction,” contribute to a product that is redefining mobile computing, and create groundbreaking technology for artificial intelligence. He/she will also “transform the way people keep up with their favorite sports and work with the people who created the intelligent assistant that helps millions of people get things done — just by asking” by joining the Siri team.

The Event Maven will play a role in planning out Siri’s understanding of events for the year by partnering with Engineering and Design teams to provide strategic awareness of cultural happenings in the collective zeitgeist. Apple needs a team player who can collaborate with cross functional teams and work efficiently in fast paced environment and changing priorities.

They also “need someone who doesn’t mind having fun while staying up to date on pop culture. That someone should have a four-year degree, strongly preferred technical in nature, or equivalent experience.
