Apple Vision Pro will be purportedly able to support frame rates of up to 100Hz

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple has dropped the number of Vision Pro units that it plans to ship in 2024 from 700,000-800,000 to 400,000-450,00 units.

The Apple Vision Pro will be able to support frame rates of up to 100Hz, according to a Twitter post by Apple leaker M1Astra.

From the tweet; Apple Vision Pro refresh rate revealed according to visionOS beta 4. There seems to be refresh rate modes, 100Hz, 96Hz, and 90Hz.  “Adjusted to 100Hz to compensate for detected 50Hz flicker from artifical lighting.” “Travel mode requires 90Hz at all times.”

Previous reports hinted that the Spatial Computer would offer a refresh rate of about 90Hz. And it was reported that the headset could be pushed to 96Hz automatically when a user was viewing 24fps content.

The US$3,499 (and up) Apple Vision Pro is due in early 2024. However, it apparently will only be available in limited quantities at first.
