APPLE TOPS INTERBRAND’S ’BEST GLOBAL BRANDS’ LIST FOR THE EIGHTH TIME

Apple tops Interbrand’s “Best Global Brands” list for the ninth time. The tech giant was assigned a “brand value” of about US$408 billion, up 26% from 2021.

Valuation is calculated based on a company’s financial performance, a brand’s ability to influence customer purchases, and the extent to which it can support premium pricing. (Interbrand is a brand consultancy firm.)

Apple is followed by Amazon($249 billion). Having overtaken Google in 2020, Microsoft 3 ($210 billion) has preserved its place in the top three. The top three brands account for a third (33%) of the total table value this year.
The remainder of the Top 10 comprises: Google ($196 billion), Samsung ($74 billion), Coca-Cola ($57 billion), Toyota ($54 billion), Mercedes-Benz ($50 billion), McDonald’s ($45billion) and Disney ($44 billion).
