Apple should buy Harman Kardon

Anyone who’s followed my online Apple/tech coverage over the years knows that I love Harman Kardon products. I think Apple should just buy the company.

After all, they bought Beats and (sorry, Beats Electronics) HK products are better. I’ve tested and/or owned just about every HK speaker made, and I’ve rarely been disappointed.

Heck, Apple design guru Jony Ive helped design Harmon’s SoundSticks speakers (pictured). If Apple bought HK, perhaps future Macs would include some really nice speakers, as does Dell’s UltraSharp 27 Ultra HD 5K Monitor, which has two 16W integrated Harman Kardon speakers.

Apple CEO Tim Cook says music is in the company’s DNA, and the company likesto design the whole widget. So why not buy HK and give us some iMacs and Thunderbolt Displays replacements with truly outstanding speakers built-in?
