Apple responds to Roe v. Wade reversal decision by the U.S. Supreme Court

In response to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe V. Wade, Apple said employees can use their company benefits to travel out-of-state to receive medical care, reports CNBC. The benefit has been available to employees for over 10 years, the company said.

“As we’ve said before, we support our employees’ rights to make their own decisions regarding their reproductive health. For more than a decade, Apple’s comprehensive benefits have allowed our employees to travel out-of-state for medical care if it is unavailable in their home state,” an Apple spokesperson told CNBC.

Today the Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, the ruling that established the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S. in 1973. The decision has been — to say the least — polarizing.
