Apple purportedly planning several Macs with M3 processors in late 2023

According to LeaksApplePro, Apple is preparing to ship lots of Macs packed with an M3 processor in late 2023. The rumor says those models include the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, 24-inch iMac, and Mac mini.

Apple’s M3 will be the third-generation chip for Apple Silicon processors, following the M2 debut earlier this year. The M2 uses second-generation 5nm architecture and offers an 18% upgrade in performance over the first-generation M1. The M3 is likely to use a 3nm (N3) architecture. Apple manufacturing partner says TSMC, the new N3 technology will give 15% better performance in terms of speed and performance while offering a 30% reduction in power used when compared to the 5nm size.

LeaksApplePro also says that Apple will launch a new 27-inch iMac Pro in 2023. The rumor is that it will have “a display very similar to the 27-inch LED mini display with ProMotion technology that will be introduced alongside the new Mac Pro, but of lower quality.” The new iMac Pro will purportedly come in M2 Pro and M2 Max processor options.
