Apple posts watchOS 7.6.1 update with bug, security fixes

Apple has released watchOS 7.6.2, a maintenance update of the operating system for the Apple Watch. It’s a maintenance upgrade with some bug and security fixes.

watchOS 7.6.1 can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery, needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌‌‌‌‌.

  • Either it isn’t offered for Series 3, or hasn’t been propagated out to my area yet, because this update isn’t waiting for my in the Watch app.
