Apple plans its first retail store in Taiwan

Apple plans to open its first retail store in Taiwan, “a move that comes after the U.S. technology giant raised $1.38 billion in a bond offering last month on the island that is home to many companies in its supply chain,” reports Reuters.

The article notes that Apple is seeking “a leader for personnel training plans for the Taiwan Apple Store” and other retail positions indicating it was looking for a team in Taiwan, according to job postings. However, there are no details on when the store will open or where it will be located. With the opening of the store, Apple will have 485 retail stores in 19 countries and an online store available in 39 countries.
