Apple Pay now supported by Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank

Apple Pay users in the U.K. now have access to two more banks, Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank. You can a complete list of supporting financial institutions by clicking here.

The mobile payment system is now available in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia, China, France, Singapore, and Switzerland. Apple has hinted that Spain is also in line to get Apple Pay at some point this year (Spain currently supports it for Amex only). CEO Tim Cook also recently spoke about plans to bring the mobile payment system to India, while France, Japan and Brazil are also expected to add Apple Pay support in the near future.

Also, at June’s Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple said it would be brining online payments to iOS 10 and macOS Sierra through a new “Pay with Apple Pay” service.

Apple Pay works with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch. When paying within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro.Mobile and wearable contactless payments could hit $95 billion by 2018, with Apple leading the way to help develop the sector, according to new research from Juniper Research.
