Apple number eight among the 50 best companies to work for

The Indeed job site has debuted the 50 best companies to work for in 2017, curated from the site’s millions of company reviews from employees. Apple tied with Nike to place number eight on the list.

Salesforce, the world’s #1 customer relationship management software, took the top spot on Indeed’s list for the second consecutive year. Airline innovator Southwest Airlines reclaimed the second place ranking.

New to the top ten, JetBlue Airways — ranked #21 on last year’s list curated by Indeed — skyrocketed to take the #3 spot this year. Similarly, CenterPoint Energy moved up from last year’s #37 ranking to #6 for 2017. Newcomers make up half of this year’s list, with companies like Estee Lauder (#21), Stryker (#26), Capital One (#27), John Deere (#30), and American Airlines (#30) making their debut as one of Indeed’s Best Places to Work in 2017.

Indeed has over 15 million company reviews. Indeed compiled this list by including companies that are members of the Fortune 500 Index with over 5,000 employees and have at least 50 reviews. These companies are the most highly rated on overall employee experience.
