Apple launches ‘Platoon for Artists’ for the iPhone and iPad

Apple has launched its “Platoon for Artists” app on the App Store, which “will help up and coming artists manage their careers with things like social tracking, reporting features, and more,” reports 9to5Mac.

In December 2018, Apple acquired Platoon, a London-based creative services firm founded in 2016 by music industry veteran Denzyl Feigelson and LoveFilm co-founder, Saul Klein. The start-up — which described itself as “platform for the most fearless creatives” — offers a range of distribution, funding and marketing services to emerging and unsigned artists.

9to5Mac notes that Platoon for Artists is unlisted on the App Store, but it is published under Apple’s developer account and can be downloaded via the direct link. It’s available for the iPhone and iPad, but not the Mac.
