Apple is second in terms of sales value when it comes to smartphone shipments in Taiwan

Shipments of smartphones in the Taiwan market totaled 663,000 units in August, an increase of 44,000 units or 7% from the previous month, according to data compiled by local retail channels — as noted by DigiTimes.

Samsung ranked as the top smartphone vendor in the local market both in terms of sales volume and sales value. In terms of sales value, Apple’s iPhone rankedsecond, followed by Sony, HTC, Asustek and Oppo. Asustek took the second position in terms of sales volume, followed by HTC, Apple, Sony Mobile Communications and Oppo.
