Apple hires Warner Music veteran as global head of strategic music initiatives

Warner Music Group veteran Jeff Bronikowski said in a LinkedIn post — as noted by Reuters — that he has joined Apple as global head of strategic music initiatives.

At Warner, he was Head of Innovation and Senior Vice President, Business Development. Before that, he was senior vice president of Business Development for Universal Music Group, general manager of both AOL Music and Yahoo! Music and also led Corporate Development for The Echo Nest (acquired by Spotify).

During a hiatus from music-related endeavors, Bronikowski served as chief operating officer of DailyBurn, a streaming fitness video subscription service and prior to WMG, he was president/GM of Tribeca Shortlist, a subscription movie streaming joint venture of Lionsgate and Tribeca Enterprises.

Bronikowski graduated from Georgetown University. He also holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
